Trigger – Behavior – Reward Model. Be reminded of the fruit, act as a controller – receive healthiness as reward.
In this project, eating habits are investigated and analyzed with the benefit of different research methods. Fruitz is a trigger fruit bowl to change people’s fruit consumption and create a more transparent relationship between food and people. The product prototype was tested in three student houses, with all three houses consuming significantly higher fruit quantities across a 15 day period.
The motion of the triggering effect is explored with another study. From a research point of view, our team tried to focus on habit patterns and how, in the food consumption context, a habit can be changed to another. Findings were shared with both academic and commercial environment.
